Four-year-old Jimmie and his father decide to leave Sweden to begin a journey to a safer country. Told from a child’s perspective, the story shows fragments of the refugee family trip. The film takes place in several countries, although it is not completely revealed which ones. The journey begins in Sweden and continues south through the German-speaking countries and ending at the Mediterranean Sea.

Jesper Ganslandt was born in Falkenberg, Sweden. He is a self-taught filmmaker who has worked in music video, television and film. His features FALKENBERG FAREWELL (06) and THE APE (09) both screened at the Toronto Film Festival. He is also the co-director of the documentary feature THE FILM I’M NO LONGER TALKING ABOUT (09). His latest film JIMMIE (18) is about to have his world premiere.
